Cilia/Flagella
Cilia is the plural form of flagella. If there is only one it's fagella. If there are many, it is called cilia. These functions are on the outside of the cell and move liquid past the surface of the cell. The structure of cilia and flangellum are the same, but the movement is not. They consist of microtubes and are an extension of the plasma membrane. (http://users.rcn.com/jkimball.ma.ultranet/BiologyPages/C/Cilia.html)
