Nuclear Envelope
The nuclear envelope surounds the nucleus. It has a double membrane and is covered in small pores that permit passage of water, ATP, and other small particles. It controlls the amount of RNA and proteins entering and leaving the nucleus. Underneath the nuclear envelope is the chromatin, which is DNA mixed with proteins.
